The Webster O’Brien 5k is May 18, 2024!
Join us for the Annual Webster O’Brien 5k Race and help support the Webster O’Brien Travel Scholarship Fund. We encourage all to come out and participate in this fun and important event! Whether you are a runner or a walker, young or old, join us for the Webster O’Brien 5k on May 18th. The race begins at 10:00 am at Danehy Park in Cambridge, MA.

Webster O’Brien was a beloved member of our community. He is the father of two CMS alums, husband of a former CMS teacher, and served as chairman of the board for four years. Webster believed strongly in Montessori education and our school would not be what it is today without his leadership and guiding hand. He was instrumental in developing the athletics program, and the Webster O’Brien 5k was started to honor Webster and build on his legacy. Proceeds from the 5k will go toward the Webster O’Brien Travel Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund is a travel stipend that is awarded annually to a CMS alum that has graduated from our middle school program. The award supports an alum who will be furthering their education through travel and service.
