Dacia Thompson

Dacia Thompson joined the CMS Board in 2019 and serves on the Development Committee as well as a co-chair for the Parent Ambassador Program, internal committee.
She has been a CMS parent since 2010. Two of her three children have been woven into the fabric of the school since they were 2.9 and 3 years old, respectively.  Dacia is a licensed social worker. She works within the largest person of color run non-profit organization within Massachusetts as the Assistant Director of the Family Visitation Program. Dacia received a BA in psychology from Amherst College and will complete a Master's in Social Work with a certification in Urban Leadership from Simmons University.
Dacia lives with her husband and three children in Dorchester. She is passionate about social justice and equity and special educational rights. In her spare time she enjoys spreading love through making baked goods and hand-made cards.
