The athletics program is offered to all students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, and is included as part of their academic tuition. CMS athletes improve their physical fitness, coordination, and gain confidence through athletic achievement.
CMS athletes play soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter, and run cross country in the spring. In addition, students have the option of playing Ultimate Frisbee and flag football at the club level. There are no tryouts; enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Practice and game days are on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The CMS Snow Tigers compete in the Big MAC (Montessori Athletic Conference), comprised of fifteen regional, independent schools. The MAC was founded in 2009 in order to give our students an opportunity to engage in interscholastic competition, represent their schools, and build a larger community of peers. The league thrives thanks to its spirit of "coopetition," allowing students of all skill levels and abilities a chance to foster a lifelong passion for sports in a friendly and supportive environment.
