Welcoming New Families Host Families welcome new families into the CMS community and serve as a wonderful resource for families and students throughout the year. Being a host is a great way to meet other parents and children.
Volunteer activities take place throughout the year. Involvement requires making a phone call in the spring to your new family and attendance at the new family picnic in the spring.

Diversity Issues Our Diversity Forum is open to the school community and provides an opportunity to discuss diversity topics which affect us all. The most important goal of the Forum is to foster a more inclusive community. The exploration of issues in an open and honest dialogue enables us to create a sense of belonging to a larger shared community and can also provide us perspectives from many different individuals. Our diversity initiative allows us to celebrate our enormous group diversity as well as heighten our conscious awareness of the similarities that unite us and the differences that define us as individuals. Meetings of the Diversity Forum take place throughout the school year. Volunteers will help organize and plan meetings and events focused on topics of interest to the CMS community. Administrative Liaisons: Lisa Szafir, Assistant Director of Passport
