Summer Camp Staff
Thank you for your interest in our summer positions. Passport Summer Programs is a day camp program for girls and boys ages 21 months-13 years old. Our program includes arts & crafts, science & nature, sports & games, theatre arts and music, field trips, swimming and tons of FUN!!
We are currently hiring for Summer 2017!
All staff are required to be a minimum of a graduating high school senior (18 years or older), have solid experience working with children, and possess good communication skills. We are seeking applicants with a willingness to learn and work hard as a team player to create a great summer experience for children. A commitment to quality programming, attention to safety and a sense of humor are a must. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Standard First Aid and CPR are highly desirable.
Toddler Counselors: The right applicant is responsible for the daily care of our youngest campers and must be able to meet each camper's social, physical, emotional and intellectual needs. Counselors will work in a team to provide a safe and nurturing camp environment. Strong experience working with children ages 21 months-2.9 years is preferred.
Lower or Middler Camp Counselors: (Lower Campers are 3yrs old) (Middle Campers are 4-5 yrs old) The appropriate candidate will be responsible for the daily care of campers and must be able to meet each camper's social, physical, emotional and intellectual needs while helping them through their busy camp day. Counselors work in pairs to keep up with this active age group. Early childhood experience is preferred.
Upper Camp Counselors are responsible for providing an amazing summer camp experience for campers ages 6-13 years old. This role is to actively support, encourage, and engage all campers socially, emotionally, and physically throughout their busy camp day. Counselors must possess self-confidence, strong communication skills, be a positive role model and a great listener. They must be able to show patience, enthusiasm, creativity and flexibility, be energetic and capable of motivating children while working in a team setting with a group of 12-16 campers.
Health Supervisor- The appropriate candidate must be 23 years or older and have their certification in First Aid and CPR. Under the supervision of the Camp Director and standing physician this person is responsible for the health and well being of campers, dispense medication, and basic first aid. Also responsible for ACA compliant paperwork, filing and organizing camper health histories and immunizations. The right candidate needs to be self motivating and willing to jump in a moments notice to help where needed and move around campus quickly.
