Special Programs are either morning or full day and are led by experienced and professional staff. Program space is limited to ensure the highest level of camper support and encouragement.
Half Day campers leave at noon.
Morning Special Program campers will join our General Camp program at noon to participate in camper choice and swim activities.
Full Day Special Program campers will be with their specialized program all day and at noon have lunch and outside break together.

MONTESSORI MORNING-PRIMARY: (3-5 YEARS OLD)
JUNE 19-AUGUST 18 (WEEKLY) Montessori Mornings-Primary is not offered the week of July 3-7
Primary Montessori Mornings emphasizes on independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child’s natural development. Campers will work in groups or on their own. Taught by certified Montessori Teachers this program reinforces the Montessori philosophy over the summer and supports the transition from the Toddler experience to the Primary classroom. This program is a full day or half day experience. Full day program campers join Passport General Campers for lunch and afternoon camp activities. Half day campers are picked up at noon.
MONTESSORI MORNING-ELEMENTARY: (6-9 YEARS OLD)
JUNE 19-AUGUST 18 (WEEKLY) Montessori Mornings-Elem. is not offered the week of July 3-7
This program introduces children to new classroom work, and helps prepare children by developing skills needed for the upcoming school year. Elementary Montessori Morning is taught by certified Montessori Teachers. The curriculum and teacher’s role are carefully designed to honor self-paced growth while encouraging social cooperation. This program is offered as a full day program only; campers join Passport General Campers for lunch, afternoon camp activities, and a field trip each Wednesday.
COMPUTER CONTROLLED PUPPETS: (8-12 YEARS OLD)
First you’ll design and build a band of computer-controlled, funky puppets that act out a storyline written by your team. Then, construct an elaborate stage and record sound effects and dialogue for your puppet. Finally, compile all your resources to make a stop animation video. Build-It-Yourself specialists are from the Harvard and MIT community leading campers toward an enriched understanding of the way things work campers with on-site instruction and via live webcasts.
3D PRINTING AND DESIGN W/ BLOCKSCAD: (9-12 YEARS OLD)
JULY 17-21 OR AUGUST 7-11
Learn how to design awesome 3D objects using Einstein’s Workshop’s own BlocksCAD software and print them on 3D printers! In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to basic 3D CAD principles, how to design objects to be printed on a 3D printer, and even have up to three of your designs printed.
TINYTYKES SOCCER: (3-5 YEARS OLD)
JULY 31-AUGUST 4
Come and join the FUN, interact with the Challenger Sports British coaching staff and become a TinyTyke for life. TinyTykes is an innovative program that introduces 3–5 years old to the basic skills of soccer. TinyTykes will be offered Monday-Friday and each session lasts 90 minutes. This program provides an innovative approach to learning that allows children to explore and experience soccer in a relaxed environment. Every TinyTyke receives a FREE soccer ball, camp T-Shirt and player evaluation.
CIRCUS: (8-10 YEARS OLD)
Spend the week learning from professional circus performer Jeremy Warren! We’ll balance feathers on our faces, juggle with scarves and flower sticks, and balance people on our shoulders. We’ll spin plates, swing upside down on ropes, and juggle anything we can get our hands on. We’ll also learn that messing up is the only way to get better! The week will culminate in a camper-created performance showcasing everyone’s talents!
FULL DAY SPECIAL PROGRAMS: (9:00AM-4:00PM)
SPORTS CLINIC WITH ALEX: (8-13 YEARS OLD)
Let the games begin! Join CMS PE teacher and coach, Alex Tzelnic for the ultimate in sports fun. Campers will have endless game play all day long in Danehy Park playing gaga ball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and experience parkore, as well as a friendly competition game with campers from another camp. Be ready to play hard all day while developing new skills and having FUN! This program is full day.
MIXED MEDIA ART: (9-13 YEARS OLD)
Create beautiful glass tiles, beads, necklaces and bracelets, learn how to make soap and homemade paper under the guidance of the talented artisans from DeNault Studios. Campers will be able to take home many projects during this week of creative expression!
MULTI-SPORTS WITH BRITISH CHALLENGER SPORTS: (7-10 YEARS OLD)
JULY 31-AUGUST 4
Challenger’s team of international coaches will provide campers, with a memorable week of nonstop action and fun all with a British twist! Campers will learn British sports and develop new skills that go far beyond running, jumping, catching, kicking and throwing. Join the Challenger Coaches for a fantastic week of multi sports and learn all about their “Champions of Character” (Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Leadership), while playing hard and having fun. Sports covered may include tag rugby, cricket, soccer, rounders, kickball and more. Every camper receives a FREE soccer ball, camp T-Shirt and player evaluation.
SOAP BOX RACERS: (8-12 YEARS OLD)
Design and build a clean air, high MPG, nimble, convertible and speedy subcompact soap box racer! Repurpose some premium quality junk to create a customized ride to be fast and look cool when you and your crew take the green ag at the CMS Grand Prix! Build-It-Yourself specialists are from the Harvard and MIT community leading campers toward an enriched understanding of the way things work campers with on-site instruction and via live webcasts.
CATAPULT ENGINEERING: (8-12 YEARS OLD)
Design a real working catapult using state-of-the art designs and repurposed materials to be able to send small objects flying through the air! Campers will work in teams to design a trebuchet that will exercise your skills in projectile engineering, structures, problem solving and team work. Build-It-Yourself specialists are from the Harvard and MIT community leading campers toward an enriched understanding of the way things work campers with on-site instruction and via live webcasts.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES: (9 (entering 4th grade)-13 YEARS OLD)
JUNE 19-AUGUST 18 (WEEKLY) - Outdoor Adventures is not offered the week of July 3-7
CMS faculty member Alex Tzelnic leads this program for campers looking to explore a wide variety of exciting venues in and around New England! Campers will take off on daily excursions for adventures like: kayaking on the Charles, knockerball, Launch, Sky Venture and Take Flight, just to name a few. Each week has different trips to keep the summer fun! Click here for the schedule of all our trips!
JUNE OR AUGUST COMMUNITY CAMP: (4-13 YEARS OLD)
This program is a special week for campers ages 4-13 years old! All campers will be grouped together and will travel off campus each day to explore and enjoy field trips to local venues like Boston Public Garden, Blue Hills Reservation and Kimball Farms. All children must be toileting independently and not require a nap. Space is very limited for this week.
