December 16, 2014

Greetings CMS Families,

As we get closer to one of the most highly anticipated vacations — winter break — we are deeply immersed in the holiday spirit at CMS! On Sunday, our Primary Students sang their hearts out during the Winter Performance. They were picture perfect. Flawless! Parents, teachers and friends filled the 250-seat auditorium that we rented from a local public school. It was such a delight to see Primary students sing a variety of holiday songs, interact playfully with each other and simply filled with joy! Faculty later joined in the festivities belting out "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Simple Gifts". When the concert was over, families filled the foyer for apple cider and a time to connect before the two-week break.

Last night we had our annual staff holiday party. It's always a treat to see the team relax after a fast-paced fall followed by a long winter. They bowled, they laughed, they ate, and most importantly, they bonded. The last couple of days have reminded us of the value of community. We recognize that holidays can be joyful for some and stressful for others. We have thoroughly enjoyed the simple gifts of time and presence (not presents). On behalf of the entire Cambridge Montessori School, we wish you and your loved ones a happy, safe, and healthy holiday season and a phenomenal 2015. See you in January!

Warm regards,

Ingrid
