Karen Mellor, Toddler Assistant Teacher (Pink Room)

What is role here at CMS?

I began working at CMS in 2012 as an Early Care Teacher for the Passport Program. This school year, I happily expanded my role at CMS as a Toddler Teaching Assistant in the Pink Room.

What do you love most about CMS?

I love witnessing the students growth and independence that they gain, as well as their desire to learn more.  I also appreciate all the hard team work that is involved by the teachers, administrators, parents and students in order to make CMS a successful experience.

When you’re not at CMS, how do you like to spend your time?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. On those rare alone-time days, I enjoy reading or making fabric collages.

Tell us one fun fact that people might not know about you!
When I was younger I was voted "most quiet" and some nicknamed me "mute" but I have always been a comedian on the inside.

Doing happy things with my peers, family and friends like watching movies, playing basketball. I'm a full time student at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Tell us one fun fact about you that people might not know.

Everybody thinks I like hip hop music only, but I actually think Taylor Swift is a very cool artist.
