Inquiry and Application
To be considered for admission, families must complete these steps:
Attend an Open House or Info Session
Cambridge Montessori School is excited to welcome current and prospective families to visit our school for our Elementary Preview Night January 12, 2016 from 6:15-7:30pm. For those who are interested, a tour and brief introduction with Admissions will begin at 5:45. The evening will include a glimpse into student learning at the Elementary level and an opportunity to meet teachers and current parents. This event is for adults only. Pre-register here.
Attendance at an Open House or Info Session is recommended but not required.
Schedule a Visit
Parents who wish to apply should set up a day to visit our school for a tour, classroom observation, and to meet with Lyndsay, our Director of Admissions. Observations for the 2016-2017 academic year are underway. Please contact the admissions office to schedule your visit. Given the limited number of appointments available, we are only able to accommodate one visit per family. Families applying at more than one grade level do not need to schedule separate visits.
Complete Application for Admission by February 1
Application deadline extended to February 1, 2016. Completed applications, including records for current and former schools, AISNE teacher evaluation(s), and the non-refundable $55 application fee must be received by February 1. Applications will be accepted after March 10 on a rolling basis. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Office.
Submit Supporting Documentation by February 1
Submit records release form along with AISNE teacher evaluation to your child’s current school. Once completed, be sure to see that the current school sends school records along with the teacher evaluation(s) directly to the Admissions Office at Cambridge Montessori by February 1. This step is not required for children who have not yet attended a school or similar program.
Once an application is received, the Admissions Office will contact your family to set up an interview. Elementary and Middle School candidates spend part of a day in a classroom as part of their interview. While applicants visit the classroom, parents are interviewed by an Admissions representative. Younger candidates attend either small group or individual interviews with their parents.
For Families Applying for Financial Aid
The financial aid application deadline has been extended. Prospective families who are interested in applying for financial aid must complete a financial aid application by Feburary 1. All documentation must be submitted to FAST directly.
