Inquiry and Application
To be considered for admission, families must complete these steps:
Attend Open House
Cambridge Montessori School is excited to welcome new friends to visit our school for our annual Admissions Open House on October 25, 2015 from 1-3:30pm. The afternoon will include tours of the school and an opportunity to meet parents, teachers, and current students. There will also be program level presentations and a parent panel. Please note that this is a structured event with guided tours beginning at 1:00. No RSVP is required for this event. Attending an open house is optional, but is recommended.
Schedule a Visit
Parents who wish to apply should set up a day to visit our school for a tour, classroom observation, and to meet with Lyndsay, our Director of Admissions. Observations for the 2016-2017 academic year are underway. Please contact the admissions office to schedule your visit. Given the limited number of appointments available, we are only able to accommodate one visit per family. Families applying at more than one grade level do not need to schedule separate visits.
Complete Application for Admission by January 15
Completed applications, including records for current and former schools, AISNE teacher evaluation(s), and the non-refundable $55 application fee must be received by January 15. Applications will be accepted after March 10 on a rolling basis. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Office.
Submit Supporting Documentation by January 15
Submit records release form along with AISNE teacher evaluation to your child’s current school. Once completed, be sure to see that the current school sends school records along with the teacher evaluation(s) directly to the Admissions Office at Cambridge Montessori by January 15. This step is not required for children who have not yet attended a school or similar program.
Once an application is received, the Admissions Office will contact your family to set up an interview. Elementary and Middle School candidates spend part of a day in a classroom as part of their interview. While applicants visit the classroom, parents are interviewed by an Admissions representative. Younger candidates attend either small group or individual interviews with their parents.
For Families Applying for Financial Aid
Families interested in applying for financial aid must complete a financial aid application by January 15th. All documentation must be submitted to FAST directly.
